Which battery have i used?....

Have you ever gone to replace you camera battery only to find the one in your camera bag is flat? Here is a little tip that may just help. To start with get a pack of coloured dots from your local stationary supplier. Put a green dot on the contact end and a Red or Orange dot on the opposite end. This will be the first step to battery management. Now find a way of holding the batteries in a certain position while in you camera bag. Idealy find your local supplier of Think Tank (Click to view) products and buy one or two of their DSLR battery holders. Here in New Zealand it is Photo Warehouse (Click to view). Once you have found a way of holding them, place all your charged batteries in the holder with the green dots facing up. When you remove a battery from your camera and replace it with one of the charged ones, insert the flat one in the holder with the red or orange dot up. This way when you get home and open your DSLR battery holder you can now see which batteries are good and which need charging. Just remember, once they are charged return them to the holder with the green dots up.
